about feminism
Mar. 16th, 2006 06:44 pmI always say I'm not a feminist, because I see too many feminists degrade, humiliate and just generally hurt decent male humans.
But seriously, isn't that beautyful?
I read the new ZEIT today, in which there was a feature about why so many successful german women don't bear children.
One detail facinated me the most: There are too few men in this country, who want a girl right beside them. On their social step. With their width of horizon. Education. Wealth and income.
Too many boys are still told to take care of their girls (And I don't mean 'taking care' like loving someone or backing someone up. I mean like 'supervise' or simply 'feed'.), when they grow up. And the girls are told that they don't need anyone to take care of them but themselves.
I wish mothers would tell their little boys that they are strong and don't need to take care of someone to be a man.
