fuchsManchmal reicht mir das Netz nicht.
Ich möchte die Verbundenheit wirklich spüren, und manchmal schafft das Netz das nicht.
Dann lese ich nur die Spuren, die jeder einzelne dort hinterlassen hat, ohne irgend jemandem zu begegnen.
Wie eine gewaltige, bunte Stadt, in der ich in jede Wohnung, jedes Zimmer, jede geheime Ecke hineinschauen kann. Und manchmal höre ich entfernte Stimmen.
Aber niemand ist da.
Manchmal werfe ich dann ICQ oder mIRC an und versuche, den Stimmen näher zu kommen.
Meistens stehe ich jedoch auf und lasse den Computer einfach stehen.

Sometimes the net doesn't suffice.
I want to feel connected, and occasionally the net doesn't make me.
Then I can just read the traces people left without meeting anyone.
Like a gigantic, colorful city, where I can stroll through every appartement, every room, look into every secret corner. And now and then I hear distant voices.
But nobody is there.
Sometimes I start ICQ or mIRC then, to get nearer to the voices.
But most often I just stand up and leave the computer behind.
