Dubai Panic
May. 29th, 2008 12:49 pmOh yeah, I am so super-cool, nothing fazes me much, really. ... Only purchasing a simple plane ticket freaks me the hell out. Like, complete tilt over here.
Anyway, on the flight back I have ten hours in Dubai, and for 30 Euros I can get one ticket (like, I can buy that right now) that enables me to hop on and off any city tour bus at any time for 24 hours. The tours last non-stop 1.5, 2 and 3 hours, and the busses depart regularily. Since the airport is practically in the middle of the city, I could... I could drive to the beach for a swim. o.o Bikinis are okay, says emirates.com. I can take a bus to the Burji al Arab and take a tacky picture. And the bus ticket gives me 30 % on all outlet stores. Thank God this will be on the flight *back*. At least I'll know then how much money is left over from Japan. I am so excited I'm not even... excited anymore.

One could get the impression that I've never flown anywhere before. Well. Maybe it's the money. I just spent 3 times my monthly budget on a plane ticket. Yeah, of course that freaks me out. Best thing? I think I should have written my name again on the send-to adress. XO Maybe the ticket can't even be sent to me? Ahaha... ha... third time's the charm they say. Maybe I made a very stupid mistake on the third try.
Oh and the horribly expensive laptop my dad bought me last year for the eventual stay in Japan? Stupid, stupid, stupid purchase, that. Could easily replace my PC, but has so little battery time that it's virtually unusable at, say, an airport in, say, Dubai. Gah.
Weeeell. Back to Hegel, Kant, Mannheim and the sociology of art.
