Best of all dreams
Nov. 15th, 2006 01:54 pmWhen my subcounsciousness lets me dream like *this*, I think it really wants to do me a favour, give me a break, or a treat.
I watched a movie, in this dream,and it was about the crew of Serenity, crash landing on Traidis. Of course the pilot died, which I really didn't like, but it was true to the book, so I had to fess up. Inara nearly died on the shores of Arden, until the people of Arden found the crew. I *really* liked how they did Arden castle. SO beautyful! And the Arden gang was of course terribly likeable... with the exception of the Lords brother, who killed te Lord just as the crew started to feel safe. *Pure* genious, that. Mal was totally involved in trying to rescue the Lord of Arden, which made him involved for the rest of the story, Inara, Zoe and Kaylee were SO pissed off and suddenly wanted to know all the whys and whats after that, and Simon had a chance to get a stone and discover his dormant Arden talent, which sadly didn't rescue the Lord of Arden, either. But the most ingenious thing about this plot twist: It was the ONE thing that would turn Lord Artakis over to the Bad Side.
The rest of the movie I was SO looking forward to his dying scene, and I was really anxious to see if they did it good enough to give him depth, so he wouldn't just be the Bad One. I mean, otherwise only true fans would even know why he became evil.
Anway, all the castles where perfectly made but best of all was Traidis City, even if it was a bit too neat and orderly. People live there, but it didn't really show. And I missed River and Book, who hadn't much of roles at all. Mal got together with the Fox, though, and Inara seemed to be inclined to stay at Persis. Jayne killed a rebel, who didn't get to tell them in time that he didn't mean any harm, and Jayne (who funnily enough was a major Amillio talent) suffered prettily from that for the rest of the story.
I woke before the finale, which irks me much. But all in all? GREAT show! Thanks!
