about tidy rooms
Jul. 5th, 2004 01:26 pmI love tidyness. Especially in my room. It's not sterile. It's still 'lived in'.
But it's not chaotic at all. I always find what I am searching for in practically no time, and nothing distracts me from doing useful or creative things.
When my room's a mess, I don't have one straight thought. When I am depressed, sad or something, my room's a mess.
And it's cozy. Many little lamps, a very nice couch, books everywhere and many, many colorful pictures on the walls.
I don't understand people at all who say they need chaos in their surroundings. Isn't the inside of one's head chaotic enough? Often I've got the suspicion that they just find excuses for laziness, but that could be my total lack of understanding speaking, here.
